Roomie's cat damaged chairs, but she feels she shouldn't have to pay for full replacement?

My roomie's cat scratched up the legs three of four of my living room chairs. The chairs are white fabric and were already somewhat dirty. The cat completely shredded the fabric covered legs down to the foam padding. The roomie says that I should pay half to replace because they were dirty, or she is only going to pay to reupholster the parts of the chairs that the cat scratched up (how she is going to do this I don't know). My question is this - should she pay for the entire replacement, or only part of it because the chairs were dirty and past being cleaned? Does the prior condition of the chairs make any difference here?
The bottom line is she doesn't want to see me with new chairs. I did offer to let her reupholster or replace, but now she is telling me she only wants to replace the damaged parts. It is a full fabric chair, including the legs.

Maybe she should pay for the three legs that the cat scratched up, and you should pay for the fourth.

I do not think that it matters that they were dirty, they were still in use-able condition. Now they are not because of her cat, so it is her responsibility.

Why my laptop miraculously passed the blue screen of death?

My laptop crashed whilst I was surfing the net, then the blue screen of death showed it's evil self, so I started windows normally and it crashed again and the blue screen appeared yet again. I then logged on via safe mode and shut down the laptop. i then logged on via normal mode, now its working normally!!! WTF??? Does anyone think it's still broken or what, im so confused. Help

This is assuming that you are running an up to date anti-virus and Microsoft updates are turned on and up to date....

BSOD can be caused by several different problems. The most common I see is a bad sector on the HD. The HD swaps info in and out as needed, and a bad place on the HD can corrupt windows. Windows will try to self heal, and if your lucky, it will come back up.

Another problem can be a bad memory chip, or even a bad IO controller on the MB. Bout the only thing you could try is to reseat the memory and HD cables. If the problem persists, I would go with the HD first.

port forwarding help not working - help!?

Im trying to set up 2 xbox consoles properly by forwarding the ports-
88 (udp), 3047 (udp) and 3047 (tcp)

You cannot port forward, the same port, to two different machines at the same time. Port forwarding is a one to one relationship, the port goes to one machine when received by the router. No way a router can guess which of two machines should get an outside "port" request - it cannot forward to two...

No way around this...

hears one i got last week but it had a UK power plug but the ebay store is sending a AU power plug free of charge as they were unaware of UK plug and like to keep there customer happy nomal pc plug will work as well ask they check this before sending it i bought two and they work well plus they have small fan to cool drive im using a universal power plug adapter $7 till plug arrive and they work well.

Mountain bike replacement pedal, what do i need to know?

I have a Diamondback Sorrento DB78, and my brother crashed going down a hill and snapped one of the pedals in half so i need to get a replacement. I dont mind buying a new set rather than just 1 pedal, but how would i find out the thread size information, or are mountain bike pedal threads universal?

It will use the standard 9/16" pedals the only other size pedal is the 1/2" that are used on one piece cranks. The left pedal has left-handed threads so be careful. You want to put grease on the threads so you can get them off when needed.
